THE GOSPEL IN GENESIS

A mural that was commissioned for a sermon series titled "The Gospel in Genesis." After extensive research, the imagery of a tree best illustrated the meaning of genesis, which is defined as an origin, creation or beginning. The gospel is also reflected in the tree imagery because in the Christian faith, Jesus was crucified on a cross which is made from a tree.
